hootena...

hootenannit says: Thanks so much for your kind words, Audra and Ceri! 11th is an odd place to be, isn't it? I'm happy, yet I can't deny that I'd have liked those three votes to tie and be in the FQ bundle, too! Thank you, also, to everybody who voted and favorited - I really appreciate every one! (Audra, every time I looked at this contest's entries, I craved dumplings - and there were none to be had! There was ice cream, though... )

cerigwen

cerigwen says: I am an absolute sucker for anything cute and this just about fulfils all of my cute criteria. And I agree with the rice comment. Wish I'd made more for the rice theme, its such a great shape for pattern making. Love it!

hootena...

hootenannit says: Thanks so much, Moira Rae and Jill! I started with a fairly geometric arrangement of the rice, but it kept getting more playful and organic, until it reminded me of the undulating dragon of the dragon dance - and that really seemed to fit the cheery dumplings!

jillbyers

jillbyers says: I love the rice as the background texture. Cute little dumplings:)

moirarae

moirarae says: I love this! I think you're the only person to have used rice grains in their design, and it makes total sense to do it. <P>Each grain perfectly placed - just brilliant - lovely happy food!
