it'sme, lani says: Hello Jessica, just wanted to say thank you for designing this delightful Unicorn print in "black and white". I have tasked myself with making my daughter a Red, Black, Grey & White quilt and have been looking for suitable but unique prints for said quilt via quilt shops, fabric stores and online for the past two years. Yes, I have built up quite a stash and have a myriad of images on fabric. I want it uniquely hers, because she is unique and such a wonderful daughter and best friend too. In the collection of fabric are 30's reproduction prints, art deco prints, Star Trek, paw prints & doggie bones (she has a beautiful Bull Mastiff named Ruby), moustaches, Pacific NW Indian Tribal Salmon print, vintage dress forms, owls, musical notes, flowers (of all kinds-of course) a lot of typical quilt shop prints for filler, and far too many other images to list except for one last and certainly not least, ancient dragon coins (my own spoonflower print) ... lets just say, one would never imagine them all to end up in a young woman's quilt. But to add YOUR Unicorn print into her quilt: well, she will not be expecting it so it will be a wonderful surprise. She loves Unicorns, has since she was a little girl. She also knows of every Unicorn print I have managed to purchase and hoard (I am very picky) over the years, all to end up in a quilt for her daughter (someday). Let's just say she better have a girl, lol. But your fabric, this print, will be the only UNICORNS in the whole quilt. I like that it is a small checkered print with the Unicorns in opposing colors on each check. It will be strategically used throughout the whole quilt. The quilt pattern I'm using was found in one of many magazine subscriptions, in of all colors, Red, Black, Grey & White. It was perfect and has a very modernistic approach to art deco. It will be my most challenging undertaking ever, but she is absolutely worth it! It's probably going to take me at least a year to complete the top (once I start). But I have to finish my Mothers quilt first and I am almost done, she will have it for Christmas. Thank you again for your talent, it's much appreciated. Cheers, Lani P.S. My daughters name is Jessica!
