Description:

The Blue Hexagon Bloom pattern by Artist C.L. Brown features a blue and white contemporary design.

This particular seamless pattern just so happens to coincide with my concurrent obsessions with Pantone’s Color of the Year, Classic Blue, and the equally rich, ancient symbolism of the hexagon seen throughout nature itself. From the fascinating and environmentally vital bee’s usage of this geometrically mystical shape to our own DNA, the hexagon is widely revered as integral to life itself. Why not incorporate it into yours? I've been feeling inspired to use more blues in my art, design, and patterns this year since reading more about Pantone's Color of the Year, Classic Blue #19-4052. Pantone describes this color as, "Instilling calm, confidence, and connection, this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era." Blue is so much a part of human existence, from the blue sky above our heads to the clear blue waters of the oceans and lakes we are surrounded by, to the wedding tradition of wearing something blue on the big day, and even to our own moods when we are said to be feeling a little blue. To create the designs you will see on this page I started with kinetic light paintings created by using long exposure photography with light and movement and then edited the resulting photographs extensively to create new, completely unique and contemporary looks. I hope this image inspires you to explore all the possibilities that the color blue has to offer in your own art, design, decor, work, and life!
